Anyways on one of his investigations he found a heavy religious candle of ours. Then dropped it on his toe. Owww, but didn't take him long to recover. Now he will show you his toe if you ask.

Jack spent much of the day finding balls to play with. In this case we were tossing ball up the slides

Alas, all vacations must come to an end , the sunset in Laguna

So the month started off with the beginning of school, as mentioned in previous post. Here are some pictures from the first day of school.

Luckily, after meeting with principal it seems like the switch has magically flipped. Seems like in general Audrey is now enjoying school. Her class does seem to have some behavior issues, but she has been racking up stickers at school for good behavior and listening (unlike some classmates who are racking up the yellow cards and principal visits)
Two weekends ago we went to Laguna Beach, Ca kids in tow for Sarah's 20th high school reunion. We started the weekend with a high school football game . The alum were disappointed to hear that the team name has been rebranded from "The Artists" to " The Breakers" , but they enjoyed the game anyway.
The following night we were off to the reunion proper. We had a babysitter at the hotel for Jack and Audrey was at Sarah's friends house with her kids and more babysitters. Didn't make for a cheap evening but the kids did well.
The next day they had a reunion picnic for the families to attend. It was quite an affair, catered food, face painting (free) ,games and more plus it was at a very cool park.

This past weekend I went on my annual golf outing. This year we went to the Tri-Cities (approx mid-eastern Washington). The weather wasn't too bad, a few short spats of rain, 1 day of crazy winds in the afternoon. A 256 yard par 3 (not downhill) and a 596 yard par 5.
I did get 1 birdie (usually good for 1 or 2 a year, so good to get it during the weekend). I also finished the weekend with my best round 97 (4 pars) which was a nice way to go.
The weather is slowly starting to turn with more rainy days , shorter days and colder days.
I will try not to let that deter more frequent posts...

thanks for the update! Audrey has a nice face paint job! Glad school is going better for her these days. Looks like you and Sarah have a busy week this week. - kay
Wow, that is a really elaborate face painting! Beautiful!
I love Jack's expression in the picture where he's showing his toe. :)
Jack slays me! He is turning out to be quite the little comedian. The look on his face when he shows you his toe is hysterical!
